RIC VI, SISCIA [after 52a], DIOCLETIAN, REVERSE LEGEND VARIETY

OBVERSE

DIOCLETI-ANVSAVG [DIOCLETIANVS AVG]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

VIRTVSM-ILITVM [VIRTVS MILITVM]; the four princes sacrificing over tripod before archway in six-turreted enclosure. SIS in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

REVERSE LEGEND VARIETY. Specimen similar to SISCIA 52a except for rev. legend break VIRTVSM-ILITVM instead of VIRTVS-MILITVM. For silver issues from Siscia different rev. legend break makes sometimes a separate entry in RIC (cf. SISCIA 61 and SISCIA 62). Therefore coin could be listed after SISCIA 52a.
