RIC VI, ROMA [before 5a], MAXIMIAN HERCULIUS, UNLISTED ISSUE [HERCVLI DEBELLAT]

OBVERSE

MAXIMIA-NVSPFAVG [MAXIMIANVS P F AVG]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

HER-CVLID-EBELLAT [HERCVLI DEBELLAT]; Hercules stg. l., fighting Hydra with club in r. hand. PR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED ISSUE. Many types with m.m. PR are omitted in RIC V/2 and RIC VI. There is a very slight possibility that some of them were minted after Reform. Also, others were added here for comparison.

Note that so far two different rev. legend breaks are attested: R-CVLID-E and D-E, which could make in RIC two separate entries (cf. TREVERI 802 and 807 or SISCIA 61 and SISCIA 62). Also, two obv. legend breaks: A-N and I-A.

Listed in Depeyrot (p. 83, no. 6/13; rev. legend break D-B). Coin could be listed in RIC before ROMA 5a.
