NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. RIC lists for Licinius' coins from Ostia only obv. legend without "C" after "IMP". The extremely rare obv. legend IMP C LICINIVS P F AVG is attested only for RIC VII ARLES 10-11 an 17-18 (RIC VII, p. 235), i.e. shortly after the transfer of Ostia mint to Arles. It may be assumed that some of these types were minted still in Ostia, but an engraver's error also could not be excluded. Coin should be listed after OSTIA 99.
