CONSTANTIVSNOBCAES [CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES]; bust l., laur., cuir., r. holding forward-pointing spear, shield on l. arm.

REVERSE

GENIOPOP-VLIROMANI [GENIO POPVLI ROMANI]; Genius stg. l., modius on head, naked but for chlamys over l. shoulder, r. holding patera, l. cornucopiae. Altar in left field, B in right field. PLC in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE. RIC lists similar bust type, but "seen from rear" (type FF, p. 249). However, also this type is not attested for obv. legend CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES. Coin should be listed after LUGDUNUM 150.

NOTES

Weight 8.49 g; diameter 30 mm. Coin sold on Roma Numismatics for GBP 200; sold on CGB auction in April 2012 for EUR 580.
