NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. Not attested for this issue. Probably this very specimen from British Museum is listed in Maurice (ii, p. 6, no. 21) as "GAL VAL MAXIMINVS NOBIL [instead of NOBILI] C. Id. Coh. 83; L. [i.e. London (British Museum)]". RIC cites this coin after Maurice as LONDINIUM 55. But see footnote 1 on p. 128: "Recorded as in B.M. [British Museum]; does it exist anywhere?". Coin should be listed before LONDINIUM 55.
