CONSTANTINVSPAVG [CONSTANTINVS P AVG]; bust l., laur., helm., in mantle, holding globe surmounted by Victory [V].

REVERSE

SOLIINVIC-TOCOMITI [SOLI INVICTO COMITI]; Sol stg. l., chlamys draped over l. shoulder, r. raised, l. holding up globe. Star in right field. PLN in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - V. Not attested for obv. legend 1e (p. 137). Listed in Huvelin (no. 149; specimen from Sarzeau hoard, cited below). Note that bust type V is described in RIC in error as cuirassed; see also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 134. Listed in Cloke-Toone (7.08.009). Should be listed in RIC after LONDINIUM 237.

NOTES

Weight 4.02 g. Ex Sarzeau hoard, no. 3606. Coin sold on Triton X (lot 779) in January 2007 for $1,350.
