OBVERSE

IMPCMVALMAXENTIVSPFAVG [IMP C M VAL MAXENTIVS P F AVG]; head r., bare.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED FOR RULER. RIC lists similar coin for Maximian Herculius [CARTHAGO 45; rev. from the same die]. General note from p. 418: "The striking and unique 4-aureus multiple for Herculius with Marti Conserv Augg et Caes N, styles him Imp... Sen Aug, and therefore falls late". Probably minted in the autumn of 307. Note also rare full obverse legend (known only for few multiples minted at the same time in Rome; ROME 167, 173 and 173). Coin should be listed after CARTHAGO 45.
