VIRTVSEX-ERCITVS [VIRTVS EXERCITVS]; Virtus [actually Mars] advancing r., in military dress, r. holding trasverse spear, l. shield and trophy over l. shoulder. Crescent in left field, Δ in right field. ANT in exergue.

UNLISTED FOR RULER. RIC lists this rare issue only for Licinius and Maximinus (p. 640). See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 639-640. Note also reverse variety: Mars is not nude, but wearing a military dress. Cf. ANTIOCHIA 99 (BM B.5646, 6.26 g) but the presented specimen has crescent in l. field and no dot in exergue). Coin should be listed before ANTIOCHIA 155a.
